So thank God for long weekends! Both Hubby and 4 yr. old had off from work/school on Labor Day and we had a pretty busy weekend after all is said and done, I'm learning that I love my kid going to school more and more. Not that I don't want to nurture and hang out with her, but just in the past few months of being 4 1/2 she has started to cop a real "teenager," if you will, attitude with me and the Hubs. I swear this is a view of how it will be when she's a PMSing teen. For example she was chasing after her little brother and just smacking him and tripping him, etc...those with siblings can understand this behavior. Who wants an annoying little brother around ALL the time. Well after a few failed attempts at changing this behavior I told her that I was going to take dessert after dinner away. She immediately responded with how she would just get a chair and and push it up to the fridge(our "safe" spot for cookies, candy, etc..) and climb up there and get it herself! I got a little snarky at this point and told her that it's pretty hard to do if all the dessert is in the garbage! Points for me though she did calm down after that. I definitely thinking she is going to be my challenge, or at best challenging me like I challenged my Mom(sorry Mom!). Parenting is just one, big school EVERY second of every day! Thank God for wine!! :)
