So it has been a SLOW week on the homefront for me. Everything is just chugging along. Sometimes it seems to be chugging along at breakneck speed especially where the 2 yr. old is concerned! We found out the 4 yr. old grew an inch in 6 weeks! That certainly explains why she's eating mass quantities of food. God help our grocery and clothing bill! :) I can only imagine what it's going to be like in our house when BOTH of the kiddies are teens and growing and eating everything. I remember being sooooo hungry ALL the time when I was a teen and no amount of food could make me full(apologies to my parents!). Seems like I'm still hungry ALL the time now too, but that's because I work out so much...right....right?! :) On that note the 4 yr. old and I have gotten into making our own pasta. I've done it before, but it was years ago. I forgot how easy it really is. Our first attempt we made fettucine and it was out of this world good. Yesterday we made crab stuffed ravioli's and I'll have to let you know how they turned out AFTER dinner tonight! The only bad thing was that we lost our pasta machine somewhere when we were "decluttering." I actually ended up rolling it out by hand and was thinking about how happy my Italian ancestors would be...actually they'd probably be yelling at me in Italian telling me I was doing it wrong and then smacking me with a wooden rolling pin!
On a sad note Patrick Swayze died yesterday. I feel like my childhood/young adulthood also died. This has truly been the summer of death. We've had Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, Bea Arthur, and now Patrick. What a bummer it feels like the 80's died too! I'm hoping no one else kicks the peverbial bucket anytime soon...I mean really with all the deaths lately who's left?
